The HOUSE SYSTEM & DUTIES OF PRERFECTS

  • Education aims at preparing children who are physically fit, mentally alert, emotionally balanced & intellectually vibrant.
    A house inherently provides a family atmosphere in making the child physically fit, physically adjusted emotionally balanced and morally upright.

OBJECTIVES OF HOUSE SYSTEM

  • Develop situations which fulfil the social and emotional needs of the children. Inculcate the sense of responsibilities to take his/her tasks in life in life earnest and discharge them well
    Develop child’s personality and integrity
    Develop the spirit of healthy competition among the children.
    To inculcate the qualities of self-dignity

Allotment of Houses

  • Each child must be allotted a House on the day She/he is admitted into the school and once a child joins a House, He / She will continue in the same House till they pass out of the school.

THE GOALS OF THE HOUSE SYSTEMS

  • In order to realize the highest ideal of education and nurture the sterling qualities of all-round personalities and also to inculcate a healthy competition, the school has been divided the following four houses.
  • HOUSE COLOR
    a) Ravi Red
    b) Chenab Green
    c) Jhelum Yellow
    d) Beas Blue
  • Each house is supervised by a Housemistress/House Master for various affairs, who is assisted by a team of teachers and students in managing the daily commitments Office bearers will wear their badge daily.

Prefect / House Captain

  • To act as an extended arm of the school authorities and to help them in various matters concerned with school organization.
  • To maintain discipline in the school campus particularly at the time of:
  • Morning assembly by checking late comers. School uniform and by marching the students to and from the Assembly Ground in an orderly manner.
  • To enforce discipline during break and in the school canteen, on staircase and in verandahs.
  • Ensuring that students march to and from classes in lines at the time of dispersal.
  • To maintain discipline in the school buses while coming to and going from the school.
  • To assist in the organization of Intra-House and Inter-House Function/Competitions.
  • To ensure the use of English as the only medium of communication and other etiquette of students in the campus.
  • To guide and motivate the monitors and to give periodical guidance advice.
  • To bring out maximum participation of the students in various curricular and co-curricular activities of our school.
  • To ensure the students to walk through the centre of the corridor and do not touch the wall, railing etc.
  • To check the students who drag their feet, skip on furniture, and conduct themselves in any disorder manner.
  • To bring in the attention of the Principal/Vice Principal the name of the students who involve in any kind of unhealthy or destructive activities such as stealing, using foul language of shouting, damaging school property etc.
  • House bulletin boards to be maintained and to be displayed properly throughout the year with the assistance of the House Mistress and the House Teacher.
  • To organize function on School Day, Teacher’s Day, Independence Day, Republic Day. Farewell and all other special occasion under the guidance of Principal and Vice Principal and the Organizing committee.
  • To check that lights and fans are switched off when not used. Get the monitor to execute it.
  • To control crowding near drinking water taps and wash basins.
  • To ensure the dustbins are provided in the classes & at the ground during recess and make sure children use it.
  • To check the proper parking of cycles.
  • Make sure that students don’t stand in groups after the school gets over.
